Life has been busy but good since my last update! You will be seeing more frequent newsletters from me moving forward so stay tuned here y'all, same bat-time, same bat-channel for Japan updates.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support. Your support has gotten me through all the craziness of the first year and half of my new life here in Japan!

A lot has happened since my last post so I will just fast-forward to current events. Time has flown by and I have just SEVEN more months left of language training! I have reached the point where I have started to dream in Japanese. A group of my classmates have adopted me as their own. They are all Taiwanese, so we speak Japanese to each other and they speak Taiwanese Chinese to each other. Here we are enjoying some delicious hotpot together.

For Halloween, I dressed up as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and I was true to my costume as I was late for my train that day. Gotta fully play the part after all.

For Thanksgiving, I hosted a group of my Taiwanese friends in my apartment for dinner. None of them are believers and they have never experienced American Thanksgiving before. My extroverted self loved every minute of the evening. It was so good for my soul to have an apartment full of good friends and good food.

Earlier this semester my class participated in a speech contest. I had no intention of advancing in the competition but God had other plans. I kept winning my round and ended up giving my speech in the finals with judges from all over Japan. God continues to open doors and give me a platform to network and meet others even when I am not seeking it out myself.

Prayer Requests:

1) Continued prayer for my family's well-being and healing as well as my own. These past few months have been rough emotionally.

2) I have my first JLPT test coming up this Sunday, December 3rd at noon Japan time. I will be taking the N2 (second highest level). Prayers for this test day and a clear mind.

3) Prayer for my sister Nicole as she is taking a 3-week trip here. Please pray for her safety in travel and her time here over Christmas and New Years as this is the first big trip this far overseas since her diagnosis and disease progression.

4) I am in the process of switching schools for my final two semesters of language study. Please pray for this transition upcoming in January.

5) Prayers for direction as I come up to the end of my two years of study that I will find the right path that God would have me take to start ministry.

6) Just thankful for all my peeps. Prayers for y'all, always in my heart.

Big hugs!!!
